What is Republic Elite?

Republic Elite is the elite performance company at Dance Republic—designed for dancers who want to take their training to the next level! RE members receive advanced training, compete throughout the year, and gain additional performance opportunities.

Our goal? To challenge and inspire dancers while building confidence, teamwork, and passion for dance. RE teams are formed based on age and level, ensuring every dancer is both pushed to grow and set up for success!

How are RE teams determined?

Team placements are at the sole discretion of our instructors and director. We consider a variety of factors, including:
✅ Technical ability
✅ Showmanship & energy
✅ Attitude & teamwork
✅ Passion & willingness to learn

Dancers must attend our Elite Workshop, where annual auditions take place.

What should we expect at the Elite Workshop?

The Elite Workshop is a fun, high-energy audition experience where dancers will:
- Participate in a warm-up & technique class
- Learn 1-2 dance combinations
- Be observed in class to help determine team placements

This is a low-stress, exciting event! Dancers are placed in age groups and encouraged to do their best while having fun.

Attending the Elite Workshop does not mean a dancer must join a team! Any dancer can participate—even if they just want to take class and learn from new instructors.

What is the time commitment for Republic Elite?

Republic Elite is a season-long commitment (August–May) that requires dedication, discipline, and passion!

Class Requirements:

• Minis: 3 required weekly classes

• Petites, Juniors, Seniors: 4 required weekly classes

Performance & Competition Requirements:

• 2-3 competitions in the Spring

• Performances in Dance Republic’s two annual productions (December & May)

• Additional optional community performances, service projects, and fundraisers
